UPCOMING APPEARANCES
Summer Carnivals
Jimmy Monaghan and Some Assembly Required will be appearing while Bill is in Uganda on the following dates:
St. John Bosco Carnival, Hatboro - Monday, June 23rd
St. Catherine of Sienna, Horsham - Monday, June 30th
Bill will be back from Uganda and appearing with Some Assembly Required:
St. Catherine of Sienna, Horsham - Tuesday, July 1st and Wednesday, July 2nd at 6pm
Southampton Days Parade - Friday, July 4th, 9:30am
Bill will appear with Shannon McMullen and Christine Favorite to pay tribute to the Armed Forces and sing "I Will Fly (My Red, White and Blue)." The parade proceeds from Jaymore Drive and Second Street Pike to Klinger Middle School. At the parade's end, approximately Noon - they will also perform at the ceremony for Veterans at the Lions Grove, near the softball fields at Klinger.
Doylestown Sounds of Summer Series - Wednesday, July 23rd, 7:30pm
Bill and his band are appearing at the Doylestown Sounds of Summer Series: Chapman Park in Doylestown Borough at the intersection of East Road and Rt. 202 (near Fanny Chapman Pool and across from the Farm Complex). And it's FREE! More info here: http://www.doylestownpa.org/P&R/SoundsofSummer.htm

STAR WARS FOR AFRICA
Bill Monaghan loves Star Wars. He really really -- since the age of 7 - loves Star Wars. The action figures. The storybooks. The movies. The music. Everything. So, on his return home from the June 2007 trip to Ibanda, Uganda, with his 17 friends accompanying him, something happened. It was on one of those 8-hour flights that something just clicked inside Bill, and it all made so much sense. "So," Bill thought, "The kids in Africa don't have any Star Wars toys. They don't even know what Star Wars is. And here I am with all these toys in my house, and many of them have never been opened. Hmmm...here's what I can do.." (and for some reason, Bill didn't even have a problem with this...) "I'll sell my Star Wars stuff for the price I paid, even though many of the toys get so much more on ebay nowadays ('cause collectors are crazy)...and then I'll put that money toward Africa - whether it's to buy my own ticket, to sponsor Gilbert and Edwig, to help with fees for Scovia and her three orphaned boys, or whatever..."
Since that fateful day of July 6, 2008, Bill has sold about $2500 worth of his Star Wars toys, and paid for one complete trip to Africa in October 2008, plus Gilbert and Edwig's fees for two terms. There is still so much more to sell, unopened Star Wars toys, action figures, and other "stuff" that Bill will sell for approximately the original store price. All he needs now are some Star Wars fanatics (any age) and crazy collectors of any age to step up and take these off his hands.

THE WORD: A GOSPEL OPERA
WORD FANS
You can help us in 3 wonderful ways!
1 -- The Word LIVE! We need a venue to perform the live show of The Word: A Gospel Opera. Do you know of a theater --preferably one with some lights and a real stage, seating between 300-500 people? We are looking for anyone with contacts in local theaters, high schools, or colleges. 2 -- The Word Film -- Many of you are asking when it will be finished completely -- and the answer is....when I find an intern to completely finish the film! But...we can still show the film to local churches, youth groups, and schools -- this is a great Lenten opportunity -- as Bishop McHugh school in Cape May will be finding out this year!
3 -- WORDSTOCK! A wonderful evening of praise and worship, featuring songs from The Word, from Bill's original Psalms, to favorite contemporary hymns!

HOT TIP
If you think Bill and his band would be good to open for a more established act (at the Keswick Theatre or Sellersville Theater, for example) please let us know, or let the theater know directly...this would be a great way to get into some great venues. We have had great success with the Sellersville Theater, including our almost sold out St. Patrick's show of March 17, 2008!
